“We have had a wonderful family holiday in this lovely holiday home. Superb weather, beautiful village and Limousin countryside. Would recommend the local lake, Brive market, and Cite D’Insectes also a good family day out. We are all so sad to be going home, thank you!”

“14 members of our family had a really memorable holiday at this superb gîte … It is situated in a lovely village with a bar, 2 bakeries, a general store, post office, cash machine, etc. .. However, when in the garden, it feels as if you’re in the middle of the countryside – definitely the best of both worlds. There’s lots to see and do in the area – beautiful countryside, villages and towns to explore. Limoges is very interesting with lots of factory outlets where the beautiful porcelaine can be purchased more cheaply than in the shops and stores in town. There are several lakes with beaches and good facilities close by (although our kids preferred the one in St Germain as it had diving boards) and there is a good choice of restaurants to suit all pockets and occasions (we tried as many as we could!).” The gîte was extremely well-equipped, clean and spacious … This is the best accommodation we’ve had for a family holiday. We will definitely return, and highly recommend it.”

“My family and I spent a wonderful week at Vacances Vertes Les Belles at the end of June. The house was as advertised and more. It was clean, comfortable and accessible. We loved being in the village close to the butcher, baker green grocer and cafe, yet stepping out the back door and literally being in the country. We made good use of the veranda and the meadow beyond it. Fresh strawberries in the morning were delightful as were the fabulous fresh vegetables which our host Anna supplied to us… Our five year old grandson loved the beach and lake at the edge of town and the adults enjoyed touring several of the lovely villages in the region. In short, this was a fabulous place for a family vacation.”

“We have stayed in this gîte on several occasions and we have always enjoyed the experience. The house has been refurbished and modernised to a very high standard and it has a great ‘feel’ to it. The bedrooms are quiet and the bathrooms are modern. Downstairs there is a very large kitchen with an enormous table and outside there is a large barbecue… The lounge is comfortable and there is a satellite television. The whole area is very beautiful with lots of forests and lakes and it is all very peaceful. We thoroughly recommend this gîte to anyone who is thinking of spending some time in this beautiful area of France.”

“What a fantastic place to stay! We enjoyed a most relaxing stay in this beautiful house, nestled in the heart of the lovely typical Limousin village. Very clean, well maintained and fully equipped, this house has everything you need for the perfect holiday. Set in the heart of the countryside, with lovely local bakery, restaurant and local stores nearby, we would highly recommend this holiday home as an ideal base for walking, cycling and swimming in the local lakes. Looking forward to our next visit!”

“Our family enjoyed a fabulous week at Vacances Vertes les Belles in June 2009.The gîte has been beautifully restored and provides spacious, clean and flexible accommodation. The open plan kitchen, living room is perfect for family life and the transformation of one of the downstairs rooms into a playroom was a big hit with our two young children! Outside the garden was great for soaking up some rays and a safe place for our kids to explore. The organic vegetables were a lovely addition and the owners were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. St Germain les Belles is a sleepy little town with a few shops which cater for everyday needs and a great swimming lake and park nearby. We fell in love with the area and really enjoyed visits to Mount Gargan, Lake Vassiviere and Limoges. Highly recommended!”
